I play jazz at a baptismal service

Well it's literally only been three days since the last pday, but im still gonna write an email, otherwise my parents will kill me, and I'd rather not take a trip to the spirit world right now. Still got a lot of chocolate to eat

We had Jackie's baptism on Saturday! It was a great service and everything went smoothly for the most part. There were a few misprints on the program, but I don't think anyone minded, except me. While Jackie and my comp (he baptised her) were changing, the plan was for me to just jam some prelude music until they came out. Unfortunately, this was not printed on the program, so the guy conducting got up and said "we will now sing hymn [whatever number it is], "To Love Like Thee"", and that was supposed to be the closing hymn. After a little chat back and forth, I said that i was just gonna play stuff. He turns to the audience and says "OK does anyone want any hymns played?" And i go panic mode. I was not expecting it to turn into a night of requests, but it went well anyway. 

The next day was stake conference, and holy cow the lynnwood stake is big. At least, by Scottish standards, it is. I used to joke back home about everything over here being blown up American Extra Large, because all the food over here is bigger, but now it extends to not just the steaks, but the stakes as well. We spent a solid hour after conference ended just stacking and putting away chairs. 

It's been a chill pday so far. We went to get some Dick's (the name of the place) burgers, and now we're just at the church chilling. Boutta dominate people in pickleball in a second, but before i wipe the floor with people's hopes and dreams... Spiritual Thought time!
